Progressive slots offer a larger than normal jackpot and the idea is that the jackpot increases with every coin played and it keeps going up until someone wins the jackpot.

However, the payout percentage for a standard line is lower than on a regular slot machine, so it is not worth playing unless you are prepared to keep playing and maybe lose some extra cash on the way.

However, you can win with progressive slots. The first rule is always to play the maximum bet as if you bet less than the maximum then you won't be eligible for the prize.

So you could win the jackpot, but because you didn't bet the maximum not win the whole jackpot which would be gutting.

The main thing about progressive slots is that you have to be in it to win it and while it is probably not a good idea to bet your whole bankroll on a progressive slot it can be worth a go.

They are self-contained and does not receive from or contribute to another machine's jackpot.

Multi-Location Progressives

These are the one's that have the life changing jackpots. These are linked to a number of different machines which all feed into one prize pot. However, because so many machines feed into the jackpot the chances of winning the big jackpot is about the same as winning the lottery.
